On December 17, the PS Vita launched in Japan. A total of over 320,000 units sold in just the first weekend, and reviews have been flying around the web.
This is actually kind of cool for Americans. Since we won’t get the PS Vita until February 22, 2012 (or Feb 15 if you pre-ordered the PS Vita First Edition Bundle), we get to hear the reviews on games so we know which one to pre-order.
Many Japanese reviewers are suggesting Dynasty Warriors Next, Power Smash 4, or Uncharted if you want to experience all of the PS Vita’s unique features and abilities. But if you want a longer game-time, you can play the RPG Lord of Apocalypse or Hot Shots Golf 6.
Below are the hottest rated games. They are based out of 40 points (four judges with 10 points each).
Power Smash 4 received 35 points total, tying with Uncharted for the highest rated. It integrates social aspects into gaming. Uncharted, also with 35 points, has brilliantly designed graphics, and uses the touch controls to showcase the a
wesome new features of the Vita.
Third place is Hot Shots Golf 6, with 34 points. Great for beginners, this golfing game chooses the clubs once you choose where you want the ball to go. It also shows height and range thanks to the rear touch panel.
For fourth and fifth place, we have tied: Touch My Katamari and Army Corps of Hell. Katamari focuses on the touch-controls, while Army Corps is a dark, heavy-metal world that will keep you entertained for hours.
