The PlayStation Vita, the next generation of handheld gaming from Sony, comes loaded for bare with the latest technology to provide you with a unique gaming experience. Whether it’s the sleek design or the PS Vita specifications, the Vita will have something for everyone.
PlayStation Vita Specifications
When it comes to the technical aspect of things, the PS Vita specs really shine through. On the inside, the Vita features a 4 core SGX543MP4+ graphics processing unit (GPU), and a 4 core advanced CPU (A9 core, from ARM® Cortex™), so it runs smoothly and efficiently. Sporting a three axis accelerometer and a three axis gyroscope, the six axis system provides a dynamic way to detect motion. Having not only one, but two cameras (front and rear sides of the Vita), the PS Vita specs allow the Vita to detect faces, and track and detect heads. The two cameras also allow for a large variety of personalization and customization, and the ability to create an “Augmented Reality” by merging the gaming world and the real world. The Playstation Vita specifications also include a rear multi touch pad, to allow for more in-depth gaming by touch, and a five inch (16:9 aspect ratio) OLED (organic light emitting diode) multi touch screen, supporting sixteen million colors. On the audio side of the PS Vita specifications, the Vita includes built in stereo speakers and a built-in microphone. When it comes to the connectivity of the PS Vita specs, it comes with mobile network connectivity at 3G speeds, and is also suited up with Bluetooth® 2.1. Dual analog sticks are also part of the PS Vita specifications, allowing for a richer, easily controlled environment in games. If you’re playing with friends, whether you’re playing a game, watching a video, or anything in between, the PlayStation Vita allows you to chat with friends all the time. With the Vita, you can also enjoy a gameplay connection between your Vita and PS3 (for certain titles). The Vita is also backwards compatible with any PlayStation Portable (PSP) game that you purchase digitally from the PlayStation Store.
Design
The PlayStation Vita specifications aren’t just for the insides. With a sleek design, the PlayStation Vita not only provides a revolutionary portable gaming connection, it looks very stylish while doing so. With the left and right analog sticks connected to the directional pad and shape (triangle, circle, square, and X) buttons respectively, you can control your PS Vita quickly and easily. The rear multi touch pad allows you to control your Vita without covering the visually pleasing OLED screen.
All in all, the PlayStation Vita brings a new and fresh portable gaming console to the table, complete with the latest technology. If you want to give your thoughts on the PS Vita, why not join the PS Vita Forum.
