The gadget world is now awaiting the release of the after-model of playstation portable by Sony. The highly anticipated next generation portable, set for a Christmas release date, has been named Playstation Vita. Many gamers speculated on a possible huge announcement from Sony at the E3 conference, and they did not disappoint with the PS Vita.
The Device (PS Vita)
Playstation vita has advanced features like Bluetooth, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity and also allows third party and first party games. With a powerful processor, it has a 200 MHz graphic processing unit.
The Vita places lots of high-end features in one next generation portable. While hardly anyone has come up with such an advanced version, Sony has taken the step in creating a product which also supports the last models-games. The special features being the resolution of the screen and the sensitive touch screen of 5 inches.
You can enjoy the games like Wipeout, Killzone, Call of the duty, lost planet2 etc. The Vita also supports social networking powered through the Playstation network. This innovation is the biggest since the PS3 and will probably hit the shelves around the holiday season of 2011.
Expectations
The Playstation vita release date has been predicted for the holiday season of 2011, making a November or December release seemingly most likely. A lot has been expected out of this Sony product. The Tokyo-based Company never remains out of sight for long. It has returned with a bang – a large screened, and a lightweight hand held console far advanced from the former PSP. Highly controlled with a sensitive touch input, 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity with intelligent keypad as standard set by the previous NGPs.
This product by Sony won’t disappoint you on its key features; however one point of criticism could be the fact that it only shares the same battery life as the previous PSP. As the processing speed is increased, the battery is needed more to control and experience the quality of sounds and graphics.
Still valid for the gaming addict, you will not get the same quality with any other 3G adapted systems.
The Playstation vita release date will be in the end of this year. It will be interesting to see Sony’s marketing strategy on this one, will they go for the crowds of Asia for an initial launch, or move further West?. One thing is certain though – you should look out for the release of the Playstation Vita this Christmas, as it looks to top the sales charts.
